WPP Partners With NVIDIA to Accelerate Production of Advertising Content

WPP has partnered with NVIDIA to use artificial intelligence (AI) to accelerate the production of brand advertising content.

By using NVIDIA’s Omniverse Cloud platform for connected 3D tools together with generative AI, WPP creative teams and their clients will be able to more quickly develop large volumes of images, videos, 3D product configurators and other brand advertising content, the companies said in a Monday (May 29) press release.

The content engine will be available to WPP’s clients “soon,” according to the release.

“The world’s industries, including the $700 billion digital advertising industry, are racing to realize the benefits of AI,” NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang said in the release. “With Omniverse Cloud and generative AI tools, WPP is giving brands the ability to build and deploy product experiences and compelling content at a level of realism and scale never possible before.”

While speeding up the production of content, the new content engine also personalizes the content to engage consumers and remains true to the brand’s identity, according to the press release.

For example, the tool enables designers to use text prompts to find images and use them to create scenes, employing other tools to create multiple 2D and 3D images, the release said.

“This new technology will transform the way that brands create content for commercial use and cements WPP’s position as the industry leader in the creative application of AI for the world’s top brands,” WPP CEO Mark Read said in the release.

The announcement of the upcoming launch of this content engine comes a day after Huang said in a commencement address at National Taiwan University in Taipei that AI is set to alter the corporate world and that AI experts will have an edge in future job markets.

It also follows WPP’s entry into some other partnerships.

In February, the company joined the Stripe Partner Ecosystem as a consulting partner.

In this new capacity, WPP will help the companies’ mutual clients with digital transformation, new product launches, eCommerce design and development, mobile applications, payments infrastructure, and other initiatives.

Earlier in February, WPP also partnered with online grocery platform Instacart on new advertising solutions and measurement tools for consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands.
